Multi-language site with adsense

how does it work?

Lets say i have a site thats in english only with adsense. I want to upgrade so i have couple more language options. Lets say on the main page you have a drop down menu and you can choose what language you want to display your site in. Lets say you pick spanish. Does adsense pick that up? How is it going to find keywords? will it be in spanish?

The ads are supposed to be in spanish it any page that is in this language. I have one site in spanish and all my ads are in spanish too, and very well targeted. Once in a while some english ads show up but nothing to worry about. Go ahead and translate your site, just donīt use any automated translation service, they're awful.

That's assuming the Spanish page has a separate URL. It normally would (and should), but it depends on how you implement the option.
