Do Channels have an impact on Click values?

I had a particular channel I was monitoring that was getting me lots of clicks, but awful amounts (averaging 3 cents per click). I started using the same adsense code on different pages that were pulling in massive traffic, and noticed that I started averaging 12 cents a click.

So my question is, does Google ever look at channels and use them to determine what kinds of ads to place, or are channels purely for tracking purpose and have zero relation to the type of ads that appear?

Analysis paralysis... I don't buy channels impacting earnings at all. IMHO, G could view this as an organized approach to the seriousness behind earning money from Internet real estate. I just can't see any major site not using channels...

As far as the type of ads appear, that depends on your content man... I found that placing H tags prior to the ad helps tremendously.
