I've heard a lot that one of the secret of geting big checks from Uncle G is by make a lot of website, I mean real site with over 300 pages and keep growing not just some MFA Site...

But I really don't have any picture how many site should I run to get let say about $1,000 per month...

So how many do you run? Is it 10, 50, 100 or even 500?

I'm thinking to run 5 now with each got about 250 pages as the beginning and blog for each of them. I really hope It can give me about $100/month

Does my goal realistic?

With the right topic and traffic that can easily be done with one site.

I have one site. By the time I get it to 300 pages, I expect to be earning $1,000/month. Of course, it has quality content, so that means it is more work.

If, the 250 - 300 pages that I use in my website taken from the free article directories, like go articles or aticle city, could it help me to make $1,000/month?

Or should I just change those article a little bit?

If all you need to make $1000/month is to copy a bunch of free articles and put it up on a web site, I'd like to know.... because the way I do things myself, it seems a lot harder.

I would say number of sites does not matter. I could be making $1000 a month off 100 sites and at the same time, you could be doing $20,000 a day off 1 site. Quality is the key. At the same time, all eggs in one basket, scare me off. Because one day you could be making $20k a day, and next day, $20 a day. Build it gradually, with quality, and you have a safe base to work off it.

Just my 2c.

first priority: your potential visitors. what's the use of a bunch of unlovingly cobbled duplicate articles. would you consume that crap? no, my friend, user satisfaction through unique quality content is the key. and this is long-term hard work.

i happen to have three websites, but that number is completely irrelevant. start with developing one useful site.

Strife,
Get a real job if this is how you think money is made online, otherwise search deep inside you for a topic you can create good content for, think traffic success, and when you are there, come back here and learn how to make the most of that traffic.

Actually, I don't have an "Adsense business."

I have sites that provide a service to visitors (actually a shopping service on some) that happen to also run Adsense adverts on the pages. But my thought on it is that if they haven't found what they want from my offerings, the Adsense is value-added content that might provide them with an alternative source that will meet their needs and give them what they're looking for. That's the primary reason I pull off-topic ads off by putting them on the filter - it's an effort to keep what's on pages relevant and valuable to visitors.

As far as number of sites, it's 6+ - I believe in diversifying and looking for multiple revenue streams. One or two may drop down, but another one or two move up so it's a no stress situation. It all comes out in the wash and averages out just fine.

Uhmm - better read up on the terms in which you use that content and also on copywrite laws, and the DMCA. You cannot simply take others content and "change it a bit" even though it seems the popular thing to do.

Yeah, that should do it. Then just make 1000 copies of that same site (put it under a different domain name, obviously) and you'll get to 1000 sites x $1000/month = $1m/month.

Web surfers like to see content that's the same as everywhere else on the web, they find it reasuring. And Google certainly does lap it up! Generally speaking, the more identical articles you have on your sites, the better you'll do - the sky's the limit!

Some people say doing business on the web can be difficult, but they don't 'get it' - it's the new economy!

Or should I just change those article a little bit?

No - you want to make work for yourself?

Best wishes, a.

Andye - now that was a bit harsh. And you forgot to mention that it is advisable to get all friends and relative to click on the ads numerous times. Dont forget to add "please click the links below for further information" above all the adverts - that makes a massive difference in CTR! In fact, why worry about the content at all - I see loads of "quality" sites out there with no content - don't see why you shouldn't give it a go. You don't know 'til you try? ;)

Don't say we never share our valued experience with you guys. You just blast away with those questions and we'll give you the benefit of our experience...... :)

:-) My account has been banned but in this site I'm using my friends account. Let just say he let me use his name and his addreas though he didn't really interested in online bussiness.

Anyway back to the topic. I think I got your point. After reading your answer I realize that if I am the visitor, when I found the same topic on the net, over and over agan I usually close it down.

However I have a friend that told me, he got about 150 pages articles that he took "anywhere" from the internet. Pages indexed in Google about 70 pages. Adsense about $20 - $25 per month....

that's why I thought if he could make another 5 or 10 site just like that, he could make about $200/month from the internet.

Maybe I was wrong, but I don't know, that's way I open this thread right... I want to see your opinion and your answer. Peace...

I think you need to read, and perhaps re-read the TOS. What you are proposing is probably a breach. If the content is not unique, and the sole aim of the page is for someone to click on anadsense ad - you are likely to get terminated. If you have already been banned, and you use another persons adsense account etc you and he are both likely to get banned as being associated with a previously banned account. Watch this space......another of those threads coming up.....aaaaahhhhh

Strife, please reread my first post. The key word in there is "quality." I used that word for a reason. Taking articles from article directories, "changing them up," nnd reposting them, will not create quality content.

There is a wide gulf between quality content and that kind of stuff. Think about it.

Hmmm,

What do we have here?

A person who has been banned and illegally using another's name and address to sign up for a fraudulent account (might get sued by Google if you make a lot of money), and a dear friend who is a scraper.

Nice neighborhood, strife, I suspect your name describes your life to a T. BUT you are the only one who can reach down to your bootstraps and drag yourself back up again....try the good side, you might just get somewhere in life.

I work basically the same way Marcia does, a solid handful or two of diversified sites, low stress as long as everything averages out. Most of the sites are pre-Adsense so it's more of an addition than a necessity, but occasionally does smooth over any rough patches. New sites' income streams are similarly modeled.

I have three, but one has been the real cash cow for me. In a bad niche -- free software, it has earned 700-800 a month consistently for the past three years. And on only 2500 uniques a day lol. I built a clean site, easy to navigate, got good backlinks, and really categorized the content well for the visitors.

But...(and here's the big but): I put all my eggs in one basket and they sure got scrambled into one bad omelet last weekend. My site was banned from Google at once, and 100% of the pages disappeared from the serps. (I think it was errors in the htaccess had blocked the bot, b/c I have no blackhat spam, dupe content or anything like that on the site)

So now, all the traffic I get is mostly repeat visitors, therefore not only has traffic gone down, but the traffic I have left isnt't the kind that converts the best.

So, the moral definitely is: don't put all your eggs in one basket either with adsense or a site.

Have 1 website.

In my case, this is OK because I am retired and the income from the website is simply a bonus. The focus on one site allows me to maintain it at a much higher level. The high level of maintenance on this site creates serious problems for competitors - several of whom are running multiple sites and are unable to maintain any of them very well.

If I was running a true business, however; I would undoubtedly attempt to have several websites on the go. Although I have not experienced any ranking problems, the vagaries of the serps would simply be too great to rely on a single site.
