Hey,
my site is not up yet, but I plan to publish it in 1-1.5 years. I wanted to know how much money I'll be able to make with good AdSense.

I would appreciate if you guys could say to me how much you get per months (or day) and how many visitors (approx.) you get by months (or day).

You don't have to give me your site url or anything (you can if you want) I just want to have an idea of how much I can count on AdSense (I know my website is going to be quite popular tough).

Thank you, EliTe_ThuT

Could be very tough after another 18 months!

And the answer to your question is "not enough", ever.

If Adsense is still around in 1.5 years, you can ask us then.

What's the problem?

And why would't AdSense be there in 1 year?

And I clearly said "I just want to make an idea of how much money I can make"

I don't want to know exactly...

"I just want to make an idea of how much money I can make"

after 1.5 years, I'm making 5 figures. I won't tell you where the decimal point is.

and I'm sure when you launch your site in 18 months, you will also hit 5 figures....

Internet technologies have no dependable "shelf-life"!

The program you intend to make use of in 12 to 18 months may have significantly evolved into something else or disappeared all together!

If you want to be a player in the cyber-world as it exists today... you've got to do it today... why wait a year?

...cause it's a gamer website, for a game not announced yet.

From what I've read here, gamer websites don't do well with AdSense. You would probably do better with affiliate programs, selling the game....

So... you're saying that you know about a game that's going to be released a year to a year and a half from now (who would drag their feet that long?)... and the information about this game is going to be the primary content for your AdSense site... and you want to know, from current participants in this program, just how much you're going to make?

Hmmmm... arrogantly, you presume quite a bit!

You should easily be able to make $10-$30 per month if you work hard and invest several month's worth of work. You probably are attracted to AdSense by stories of people making hundreds of thousands of dollars per month, but those folks are tiny, tiny, tiny (did I forget to mention "tiny"?) percentage of publishers. The average AdSense income is very, very, very (did I forget to mention "very"?) low.

Doesn't mean you can't do better than average, but it does mean your odds of getting rich are much better if you just try to get an entry-level job on Wall Street now and see where you're at in 1.5 years.

Good luck!

In a positive manner, I'd say that if you can be so sure that a site you build can be very popular, do it. If gaming is what you know and willingly write about, do it but do it for a wider range of titles and genres, not just for one title. You can't fail without trying and noone can tell that you are going to fail for real, except you.

That what I did. I thought my first site would take the world by storm. I made $24.57 in my first year with that site.

Like I said... 5 figures easy...

Looking into my crystal ball I see that Google will be succesfully sued for billions of $ by angry advertisers and publishers, who will all win. Adsense is due to implode on 27 feb 2007. I'd not bother if I were you.

How will knowing what you might earn now help in 18 months? Nobody can give you an average earnings for today, as there are far too many variables and unknowns - let alone make predictions for the future. The only thing we can do here is to try and help you improve earnings once you do start.

Somewhere between 0 and billions going on other websites I've seen.

Can I ask how old you are?

David_UK, when you're done with your crystal ball, may I borrow it?

Adsense is due to implode on 27 feb 2007

Dang... that's the day I'm scheduled to make $8996.38...

Just my two cents worth!

No matter what your site is about, if you have knowledge that most people don't about an upcoming product, and you know about it a year or more in advance, you need to build that site NOW! Why?

Because this gives you an entire year of building content, getting good quality links, and getting out of the so-called Google sandbox. If you have a great quality site and it is up there way before all your competition, you stand a great chance of coming up very high if not number one is the organic search results once this game (or any other product for that matter) is public knowledge.

Perhaps gaming sites do not make the highest dollar eCPM and such, but if I had prior knowledge of a new product that well in advance, bet your bottom dollar I'd build that site NOW.

Again, just my two cents worth! ;)

Yeah...I've built it. I'm now only ameliorating security and making sure everything looks good on principals browsers. And I know that sooner I publish better it is, but I can't publish it now. The game isn't even far from being completed, as soon as I know that the game will be announced in about 6 months, I release. This way when the game will be announced my site will be up since 6 months already. So when the game will be released, my community will already be quite big.

Why not make it a blog and post news about development? I don't know how you reach the info or your connection with the developers - if any - but don't wait. Good luck! :)

Well...I can't really do that cause it would put him/her in troubles...

And thank you...I hope this is going to be a great hit!

Yeah...I've built it.

Therefore one must assume you know all about this new game, which is being launched in 6 months time and the gamers also already know about its impending launch, and that you are trying to pre-need that market with a ready-made site with forums etc to meet the expected "surge in demand"?

Good idea, maybe your efforts and expense will pay off.

Although I do have to say that it does smack of insider-trading!

This kind of question is a bit the same as:

What could I earn with singing?

Answer: Could be anything from singing at home up to getting one of world famoust pop star.

But: How many people do get rich with singing?
You do never know, before you try.

OptiRex
--------

The game isn't lunch in 6 months...I said I'll lunch my website when the game will be announced in 6 months.

Anyway... thank you, I really think this is going to be great.
I've invested quite a lot in this (time & time & time & money).

-----------------------------------------

EDIT: But I'm not very experienced with AdSense... you guys have a few tips on how to make the most money out of this, without annoying the users and things like that?

Thanks
