Any chance in knowing when Adsense updates its information about a certain site?

I mean there is indexing - you can se when in chache:www.yoursite.com
There is "ordinary" crawling for searchwords - you can se that from your web log.

But what about "Adsense crawling" - Any way to identify that?

yes, there is a bot call mediapartners that visits your pages..

EDIT: the bot is called "Mediapartners-Google/2.1" or similar, and typically visits your pages a few minutes after the visrt visitor sees them...

typical sequence:

1) visitor sees the page
2) visitor sees (usually poorly targeted) ads in the page
3) adsense bots realizes someone is looking at ads in a new page that needs spidering (to understand its contents)
4) after spidering, the ads will be better targeted: other visitors will see better ads

But beware: in the last months the different bots are exchanging info (stuff gathered by mediabot is used imn the index and viceversa)

Well I can see Mediapartners-Google/2.1 crawled my index site half an hour ago. I have made some major changes today - putting new content + using section targeting (<!-- google_ad_section_end -->). So theoretically my ads should change now?...Cant see any change yet however...

[EDIT] Google says on their homepage that section targeting can take up to 2 weeks to take effekt. I am wondering if that is 2 weeks after Mediapartners bot has crawled or exactly when it crawls or something third.
