Do they Allow it for Profit Use?

If a mediawiki based site (the same engine that wikipedia uses) got big enough to make some decent money with ad support, do you think the wikipedia group would get legally involved?

Or are you allowed to use it for profit with no limits/royalties.

There is nothing in the GPL that bars commercial use.
