Is there any way to hide our publisher code from competitors?.

If we check the source code of pages, it is possible for our competitors to know our sites

The publisher code appears as :

google_ad_client = "pub- publisher number code";

If we do not want some competitors to know our new sites, what is the alternative?

thanks

There is no way to hide the code unless you disabled the right-click on your site, (at least every page the AdSense code is on anyway).

If you do anything other than that, then it would be considered changing the code which is against TOS.

I do, however, wish that our pub # was not shown for all the world to see.

I suppose they could always encrypt it (and to prevent the same encrypted number from appearing on multiple sites, base the encryption on the domain/s the ID is posted on).

I believe this solution was discussed here gazillion times.
We need "Black and White lists".
This means that you will have the option to create a list of sites that only clicks from these sites will be counted, any other site showing your pub-id will get PSA.
This feature should be optional for advanced users that know the meaning of this feature.
I really don't understand why Google is not giving us this feeture since it will save them lots of money dealing with fraud attempts issues.

I hate to bring up an old topic. One way you could hide the code is to put the adsense ad within an iframe of the same size. This wouldn't prevent it from being seen entirely, but it would definitely make it harder. And who knows? Maybe in their attempts to get your pub#, they'll click the ads :)
