More clicks and banners don't mean more revenue

For the past five days I’ve been trying to improve my adsense results, using different colors, positions, banners sizes, etc.
On Wednesday I added a new text banner in a page I didn’t had one before at the end of the day I found that my total clicks increased like 40%, however my earnings didn’t rise at all.
All the old zones where performing as usual, however earn per click for those zones seemed to be less.
I decided to take away the new text ad to see what happen. Guess…..
Less total clicks, same clicks in old zones same earnings.

Conclusions adding a new banner which is even performing pretty well might affect the performance of the banners you already have, even if they’re in different pages.

Did anyone noticed this also?
