Hi
i have an entertainment oriented website based in India.
It has alexa rank of 2000.
i have around 60,000 unique IP addresses visiting everyday and it generates around 8-10 lac page views a day.
i recently introduced adsense in my website which is html driven
i am getting around 4000 USD per month
how much do you think i can earn if i use adsense in a better way?
thanx again

From what I hear college graduates in India make $3,000 - $12,000 a year, with Management positions making roughly $20,000. I'd say you should be living like a king with the numbers you mentioned. As Eddie Murphy said in Coming to America "Wipers!" clap clap.

I don't know how much a "lac" is but I assume it's a pretty large number.

Sounds to me like you're doing pretty well. Entertainment sites don't always do well with AdSense, because their users aren't shopping.

There are no sales in the websites. its purely content oriented with text based articles and photo galleries

That's what I would have thought. So you're doing well, considering.

Browse here for tips and experiment with placement, colors, # of adblocks, etc, but you are doing well already, at least in my opinion.

Is your CTR above or below 1%?

The entertainment AdSensers here will then tell you how that compares to the accepted industry average however you don't seem to be doing that badly:-)

100.000 pageviews a day
3.000.000 pageviews per month
to get USD4000, you must have an eCPM of about 1.3 USD.
For a site for youe niche, I don't think it's that bad...

Check if you are blocking websites
I have been trying to get my site targetted campaign working with a CPM of USD4 , i am targetting only large Indian websites like yours , but have not got a single impression
I know of sites from India who earn approx. US$3800 from about 100,000 impressions per month, it depends on your niche

I think for an entertainment site, you are doing rather well.
I don't know how you display your ads. But if you didn't blend them in yet, you could make even more cash.

There's something wrong with these numbers somewhere. 150 pageviews per user per day? 10 million pageviews a day? At $4 CPM (which a previous poster seems willing to pay), you'd be making $40,000 every day.

Maybe you meant 10 million pageviews a month, in which case $4,000 a month is a bit low but reasonable, given the niche and the country.

There is something really inconsistent with the numbers

You say you earn $4000 per month at $26 eCPM. That means 153,800 impressions put out in a month

153,800 impressions per month means 5,100 impressions per day not 9 million impressions per day? quite some difference

If you really want advice, you really need to give the correct data!

here is the data for last month
page CTR = 0.42%
page eCPM = 0.23 $
page impressions per month = around 1,50,00,000
