I'm fairly certain direct deposites (ACH transactions) can be taken back.
You would be correct, they absolutely can be reversed.Since direct deposit is cheaper and more efficient, and since the goal of any for-profit corporation is to maximize shareholder value, look for it to occur after the IPO becomes official, if not before. I wouldn't be surprised if it became a requirement.
Oh, got my check the 29th.
1. Banks in Europe and North America don't use the same names or even structure for the codes required. My bank had no real idea what the bank in France was asking for, and this led to several failures.
2. Neither the paying company nor their bank nor my bank would inform me of the transfer having taken place. The money typically just appeared in my account as an XFER.
3. The company sent me US dollars and my bank showed only the Canadian dollar amount in my records. I had to call the head office in Montreal to find out what the original US dollar amount had been.
