Greetings fellow webmasters!

I've only begun to implement Adsense to my pages. My site is a directory and search engine that caters to Asians, especially Filipinos. I am based in the Philippines. Slowly but surely, my earnings per day are increasing, but still not that fantastic. I have been reading that the quality of the page's content is key to getting 'quality' clicks. Since my site is primarily a directory in nature, content on each page is basically just the titles of the links, their descriptions and url's. Do you think that adding more links and being more creative with their descriptions is the way to go so as to increase the 'quality' of a page? My traffic is already quite decent, around 2,000 uniques per day, give or take. But I am finding alternative ways to improve my clickthrus. Any ideas?

I am also concerned with the payments that I will receive for the first time. I am afraid that when I approach my bank they'll turn down the check and think I'm a fraud or something. Have others experienced this? Any Asian webmasters out there who can give me their take on this issue? Thank you very much in advance.

You can't increase CTR on a given page limitlessly.
After a certain amount of optimisation, if CTR isn't rising any further, turn your efforts to creating new, similarly optimised pages.

No, I wasn't really intending to optimize my pages perpetually for adsense. I was just asking how I can increase the quality of one page, while taking into consideration that that page is just a page containing links and their descriptions, and how I might improve the targeting of the adsense ads.

My site has been around for around three years and just recently I reformatted it and took away a whole lot of dead and useless links. Basically I am again starting from scratch.

Oh, I see.

Write longer descriptions / reviews?
Invite readers to submit their own reviews?

Try to develop tourism content within the Philippines as this could push your earnings much higher.

Sticky me your url if you like and I have a look.

We run a site within the Philippines.

I can answer your second concern cause I am also an Adsense publisher from the Philippines. My bank is Metrobank and I just fill-up a short receipt called Receipt for Collection and then submit it to them with the Google check. Processing time would be about a month and then they would credit the amount to your bank account after that. They recently increased their fee from $2.50 to $4. I am not sure about other banks though cause I am happy with Metrobank.
Of course they won't laugh at you or turn you down :P

Oh, I also have a directory type of site. I set it up in a way that it could offer unique content. I have categories that are not seen on most of the big directory sites of my subject. I also only add quality sites, regularly check the directory for dead links and update the links if needed. Based on some emails I received, people actually find my directory site very helpful for them.

Maybe for your directory you could add some articles? And as mentioned above you could ask visitors to submit reviews about the sites in the directory.

Adsense checks are drawn on Citibank. I am sure they wont turn you down.
