I'm very impressed with the way the ads coordinate with the page color! I guess they use the palete we specified for the regular text ads or derive from that pelete.

Does the customer specify the palette or are the colors of the image ad autogenerated?

I saved a screen shot here: [forrelease.com...]

You have to choose the colours of the ads for adsense.

I think that's just a fluke. The only part of the ad that's customized to your palette is the tiny text bar at the bottom with the URL & "Ads by Google".

I haven't seen any other image ads other than the example and the colors look good to me. I'm just wondering if a bright yellow one might show up that makes the page look bad.

I'm interested in the image ads... haven't tried one yet. How popular would your rate you site's keyword category? Is it like "Sports Widgets" or "Specialized Hypersonic Spanner Widgets"? :)

ignatz, we have a wide range of news content from press releases to community news, about 500,000 total different documents.

Sunflux, you may be right about just lucking out as far as the color of the first image ad that has appeared on our site. Time will tell.
