Adsense Payments becoming Unreliable at best

This month, my cheque was sent

2> not a full payment (I was only paid half of my cheque!

I don't think Google gets it, some of us rely on that money for business purposes. You can't cut an employee's cheque in half. That's like paying someone for half their shifts. I am quite angry.

The fact that some payments were sent late for March is troublesome since they also fell behind in October of last year.

I think that the October problems affected most of the publishers when this time around a smaller portion got hurt. However, it gives cause for concern.

I am not sure if we can call this a pattern, but worth being mentioned nevertheless.

This may not be the kind of deal you can count on for payroll, or the mortgage. It's more like the money you use for vacations or other non-critical expenses.

Judging from your spelling of "cheque", I'd imagine you're from somewhere in?Europe?. Outside the US at least. I wonder if this has something to do with checks being sent late and/or payments being cut.

Personally, I'd be more concerned about the pay cut than the late payment. What has Google said about it?

Was the check amount only a portion of the amount approved in the AdSense account area? If so, that could be a problem with the bank issuing a check in the wrong amount.

I would be more worried about 50% of payment rather than late
I suspect it means they have looked closely at your stats and decided they did not like what they saw , but looking on the bright side it could have been the dreaded kicked out email and it looks like they gave you benefit of doubt that suspect clicks not caused by you or clickbot
I would check that if friends and family are trying to be helpfull to your business and clicking adds to earn you money and stop them pronto
as it would not be late and half payment but no payment from big G
did your ctr rise higher than normal did your cpc rise more or did your impressions skyrocket for that month

I am more apt to believe that it was a clerical error rather than someone not liking what they saw on his stats. Chances are if that is the case, he would not be in the program anymore.

I would try to contact them and get an answer.

Are you sure the payment is for the month you think it is? If so, did you ask Google what's going on? I certainly would have done that right away before posting here.

Google will subtract any fraudulent click totals from the check as part of their monthly audit before issuing checks. This could possibly be why your cheque was short. Have you had any communication with AdSense as to why this is? They are really the only people who can answer your question of why - the rest of us can only speculate ;)

Did you mean that your March earnings have been received, your April earnings have been approved and your May earnings are in progress?

We always receive cheque a month behind.
