Been 2 hours and the stats seem stuck. Anyone else noticed the same?

About six or so hours ago (5 or 6 PST), I noticed they weren't updating for an hour or two, then they jumped up at once. I just checked now, and my stats are still where they were a couple of hours ago too.

seeing this.

I guess watching adsense is becoming an obsession with many :)

I am wondering why such things are happening with Adsense since these few days. First we notice delay, then a huge downtime, and now this. Perhaps, Google now has a huge number of publishers and it's unable to cope with the load as of yet.

We have to remember this is still a fairly new program, and these stats are far more "real time" than many others I have been with. The ads are still being served (only a few have reported any serving delays), and click/impression stats aren't being lost, they are just a little slow in updating their stats for those of us who watch them so closely.

They could be doing server upgrades, or who knows - I don't think there was a definitive answer to why they were down for so long on Monday morning. A little note of "you may experience delays with updating stats for the next couple of hours due to server maintenance" or something along those lines after you have logged in would be nice. And it would save us from these huge "is AdSense down" threads ;)

mallu, not only AdSense stat watching an obsession, it is a sport :)

Actually iid like it so it only updates once a day.

That will stop our staff wasting time clicking on the "results" 4 or 5 times a day and slowing down on writing content... All the other rev reports we have are at most daily i think!

I would hate if they did updating of the stats only once a day. It's so much fun to check your stats at regular intervals and other than that it also helps to test out different layouts, etc for the most optimum results and check out stats to confirm any changes in the result.

You could always ask your staff to check the stats only once a day ;)

people, start producing valuable content, instead of watching your google adsense account. if you will take care of the first, then the second will take care of itself...

The question is do we get the correct results after the stats freese and then start moving again. Recently twice we have had a problem with the stats being delayed for a considerable amount of time, stats seem to be catching up afterwards, but do they really display accurate info in the end? Both this days i have had a drop in Impressions reported from 30-50% compared to usual i would expect for such day. Also site statistics show that the number of visitors to the site was on a normal, expected level. Something does not fit.

I am dealing in quite large numbers, and I am happy that the correct results are being shown at the end of the day

Although I am happy with the end results I have to agree with falkon that the numbers should be higher on some days where there is a delay.

For me, during both such times the impressions & CTR registered on my sites were as usual, but the revenue earned was far more than what I expected. So I await such outages per week ;)

Another thought: also the stats displayed could be not correct at some point, there is some algo Adsense using to approximate and compensate what could be missing. That is why some people see larger earnings on the day delay happens. i for example have noticed the first click on the day after the delays with statistics to be paid with exceptionally large amount.

My experience has also been that during the (few) outages so far I have earned disproportionately more money for the same traffic than I had been earning just before the outage, and than I earned just after the outage finished.

Join the gang, Edwin ;) Pray to god for more outages ;)

On the side, I believe its giving a little more to make those agitated webmasters happy :)

I am seeing very low impressions count and *very* high CTRs right now ... is anybody else seeing this?

How about:

2 impressions

3 clickthroughs

150% clickthrough rate.

Now THAT's a performance to aim for, provided it doesn't trip any 'fraud filters'!

Interestingly enough, unlike previous outages, while today is already catching up, I'm still seeing increases for yesterday. In previous outages (Oh my god, we'Re already talking about "previous outages"!) it would finish the day where it stoped and catch up linearly. Now it seesm to catch up in parallel... Makes me wanna go back and check any other days for stray hits and clicks ;)

SN, during the previous long outage which lasted many hours, I refreshed my stats section in vain, only to realize later that the new days stats were being recorded in the previous day. I don't know why and how that happened, but now things are back to normal :)

Hmm could you guys go back over older days and check them, if you've written them down seperately. I jsut checked and found several days over the last week where a few od impressions where added (no clicks), which must have happened long after the outages had been resolved and daays had been closed when there wasnT' an outage.

Could it be that google keeps some impressions back pending some sort of check and then ads them back in several days later?
