Incorrect targetting of ads on site

What do you do about it?

At the weekend one of my sites started getting adverts that aren't related to the content of the site. I've read most of the posts here about it happening but was wondering what you folks do about it?

Do you contact AdSense support and, if so, do they look in to it and has this been a successful approach for anyone? Or do you rework the content on your site a bit to try and get more relevant ads?

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

"Do you contact AdSense support”

Absolutely, they are usually very helpful

In my emails with them they have asked me to include a screen capture of the problem ads.

Also they asked for specific page urls so they could check the page themselves. But of course they may get different ads than you see for a variety of reasons. That's why the screen capture helps I guess.

Stevo,

Use the contact form in adsense and choose ad quality. Tell them the page you are having problem with. If possible, do a screen capture of the ad on your page and send to them via email. I did this once and they somehow fixed the problem and I had better ads than before!
