it says that one can set a daily budget on their adwords account. so I'm going to take that to say that earlier in the day one has more money in their budget compete (and pay) for higher priced keywords. and that later in the day once some folk's budgets run low other companies don't have to pay as much for the same clicks.
any thoughts on this?
I've been watching my stats pretty close and I've noticed that my click rate is lower in the mornings but with a higher pay. and in the evening higher click rates with lower pay.
Adsense stats don't update real time. Even if you're using an independent tracking script and/or channels to track clicks, it would be difficult to determine when the high paying clicks were coming in.
I also don't think it matters so much the time of the day as to when your target demographic has access to a computer. In my case, it seems to be office workers dreaming of independence.
I find it hard to correlate AdSense earnings to a particular period, due to AdSense's overall reporting lag and tendancy to update different statistics at different times.
