I am creating a new site that will hopefully be generating income by having Google Adsense adverts placed on it. I am in the UK and have registered both the .co.uk and .com domain for my site.
If intending to generate money from Advert click throughs is it best to use the .com domain as there are more potential American advertisers and users than UK advertisers and users.
American advertisers who may not want to advertise on a UK site so does it make sense to use the .com domain?
My site content is subject related and as such is applicable to both American and UK users.
Also, can I point both domains to the site? i.e. if I use the .com domain can I also redirect the .co.uk domain to the .com site or would this be frowned upon by the search engines?
thanks,
Nick
In simpler terms, the same visitor viewing a page will see the same ads, regardless of whether it happens to be on a .com .net .co.uk or a .us
As for the redirect, it can cause problems depending on how it is done.
