I am guessing they will be offering stats broken down into individual domains and possibly (hopefully!) broken down to a page level, so publishers know exactly what pages are getting the best CTR and EPC.
Offering stats in a graphical format would also be something publishers would find useful.
If these stats are as comprehensive as it sounds like they will be, it will save publishers from having to mess around with third party scripts and tools, especially since some of them violate the AdSense TOS.
I know many are looking forward to a variety of new stats. What other sorts of stats do publishers want on their AdSense stat wish list?

That suggestion makes perfect sense, I hope it becomes incorporated.
Real time stats is one thing, and would require quite a beefy setup on google's end - but simply telling us what time frame our stats 'so far today' represent would do the trick nicely for me, with nary a penny spent by google. I believe it would save them a lot of log-in for two seconds bandwidth.
/off to go log in for two seconds.
Is anyone getting "- No data available -" for their reports?
Yes. And stats have been wonky for a few days now.
My biggest wish at this point is for AdsenseAdvisor to come and tell us what the problem is and when it will be rectified. Impressions, clicks and earnings are being carried forward over days, sometimes over several days. Stats are not updating properly. It's 12 hours into today but still no stats. That's becoming a regular "feature" now. And there are all kinds of things that prevent many of your visitors from seeing the ads. I occasionally access my site from another PC at home or another office and find that I can't see any of the ads.
AdsenseAdvisor, any comment on the broken stats?

Yes, that would be great!
I have been checking my stats twice as often as I did during the last months hoping to finally see the new stats, just to find out, that stats had not been updated in hours. (And I used to check my stats about every hour!)
Google AdSense will be releasing new stats for publishers "very soon".
I suppose it depends on what Google mean by "very soon". Going by the problems we've been having lately I'll be very surprised if they'll be released in the next week or two. Google, prove me wrong, please.
Last year Ad-sonar said something similar about their launch but to them "very soon" meant a long, long time. In Jan there was a thread saying "due in the middle of Jan". Promise. Hmm. Even the middle of Jan turned out to be a period that lasted several months :-)
I am wondering if the reason we're seeing problems IS because they are going to be released soon. There has always been major issues with severely delayed stats before changes in the control panel in AdSense and/or Adwords.
The advantage of more in depth real time stats is that is gives site owners an indication of 'hotspots' on their site, at the moment it is all guesswork, but with the 'proposed' real time stats you would be able to keep in touch with your business throughout the day.
I know if it was putting food in my mouth and clothes on my back I would want a comprehensive reporting system to help me see what I can do better, even the slightest change can help earn a significant amount of money in one day.

< conspiracy theory >
Nobody picked 3/18/2004 in the "pool". Maybe today was picked to make sure nobody at WW "won" ;)

Congratulations!
While nobody got the exact date right, novice was off by only a couple of hours.
Now that I think about it, his method for picking the date was as close to well thought out as any other:
I'll take 3/19/04. The last update for more formats was on the the 19th of February.
I'm sure there was much research and statistical analysis that made the phd's at Google determine that the 19th was the optimum date to release new updates or maybe they just picked that day out Google Guys hat;)
This means that from now on, everyone will look forward to the 19s of every month
