Google AdSense will be releasing new stats for publishers "very soon". While they haven't announced exactly what all stats are included, they will blow everything else out of the water.

I am guessing they will be offering stats broken down into individual domains and possibly (hopefully!) broken down to a page level, so publishers know exactly what pages are getting the best CTR and EPC.

Offering stats in a graphical format would also be something publishers would find useful.

If these stats are as comprehensive as it sounds like they will be, it will save publishers from having to mess around with third party scripts and tools, especially since some of them violate the AdSense TOS.

I know many are looking forward to a variety of new stats. What other sorts of stats do publishers want on their AdSense stat wish list?

I'd like to see stats per page so I could analyze what is working where.

I don't see a need for more frequent updates. It's not like we are day trading.

Let me put my vote in for PAGE stats...because my major domain is so varied, stats by domain would not be an improvement for me.

I have hundreds of thousands of pages, and thousands of clicks a day... Stats by page would be absolutely useless for me... With the volume i see something like top 20 keywords ads where served for would do nicely....

This is not exactly stats, but I would like to have the ability for Google adds to open in a new window.

This would have the advantage of letting the surfer return to your page easily after viewing the Adsense add.

I agree with you, philr.

That way AdSense can be placed above commercial links (which we set to open in a new browser window) rather than below commercial links.

No one wants to give up their customer until they're finished showing them all their wares.

Thanks Jenstar! This sounds exciting, I also hope we will be able to back track to whenever we signed up for google adsense and be able to track it from the beginning, but I doubt this will happen. Nevertheless this is exciting and I hope it comes out in the next week!

I have been waiting for this! Stats via domain will help my business so much...without them, I literally cannot take the next steps necessary to grow.

Hmm, stats for today are still not showing for me, almost 75% of the day is thorugh and yet no stats.

Looks like they are working on implementing the new stats factor and it should be out any moment! :)

Anyone seeing the same for todays stats?

Cheers

In addition to stats, I want the ability to filter URL's per page, because red widget ads on green widget topics are just not that effective, where the red widget ads on red widget topics are perfect. If i ban them with the current filter they are gone across all pages.

I am now taking bets on when it is that Google comes out with its own tracking system. The closest to the date wins a link from my site to theirs as long as it is not "PRON" for a couple of months. Nope not on the homepage :)

The following are the guesses so far:

loanuniverse 5/24/2004
trillianjedi 3/25/2004
dazzlindonna 3/8/2004
my2cents 3/28/2004
floridasun 4/1/2004

If you want to make your prediction and get into the contest just respond here. If you just want the glory and not the link that is fine too :)

BTW, The winner will be selected by me with the help of the Dewey Cheatem & Howe law office.

I'll take 3/19/04. The last update for more formats was on the the 19th of February.

I'm sure there was much research and statistical analysis that made the phd's at Google determine that the 19th was the optimum date to release new updates or maybe they just picked that day out Google Guys hat;)

Arghhh too late to owner edit... so here are the entries so far:

Frankly, I think you give too much credit to how quickly a company can react to market forces. It has been several months since it was first hinted and IMO it will be at least a couple of weeks before we hear anything.
