We've been having a bit of success with ye olde skyscraper format but I'm tempted to try the new super-skyscraper format. Anybody here tried the new ad layouts and like to share their findings?

I replaced all my skyscrapers with wide skyscrapers - not for the extra ad, but because I've always thought the narrower skyscraper looks ugly, with text often wrapping awkwardly, and URLs often cut off on the right hand edge.

I like the wide skyscrapers, too. They look much better on my pages. I've also used the short skyscrapers on some pages, but I'm not as happy with how they look--the text size is smaller, and they look slightly cramped. Even so, I'm happy to have the flexibility the new formats offer.

I too replaced my narrow skyscrapers with the wider ones because it fit in my site better and as Danny said, they look better.

Interesting to hear. I was hoping somebody might be able to talk about earnings (without breaching the t&c) viz a viz each of the styles of ad.

I have about 1250 pages with AdSense on them, of which 25 have skyscrapers (now wide skyscrapers). So I have no idea about their effectiveness at all.
