My site is up and running. My hosting service's stats say several thousand pages have already been shown today. While it is conceivable that no click-throughs have occurred on Adsense ads it's statistically impossible that there were no Adsense impressions.
I've written Adsense and haven't heard back yet. My question is: For others who have experienced this, is this just some glitch that corrects itself? Is this a situation where I very well may not receive compensation for my day's Adsense activity. Most important to me, is this some sign of trouble like a pending "fraudulents clicks" email and account cancelation? Thanks.
I checked, however, and the Internet still seems to be there. Phew.
This posting was started 10 hours ago or so and only 11 replies were generated. This makes me think its not a widespread event but just limited to some Adsense advertisers.
Has anyone experienced this "no data available" condition for multiple days? Was the resolution of this status positive?
AdSense has said it can take up to 24 hours for AdSense stats to update, so I wouldn't start worrying until tomorrow. And AdSense support likely won't be answering on a Sunday anyway.
As long as you are able to login, and you are displaying the ads, I wouldn't be too alarmed at this point. This has happened in the past and it all corrected itself the following day, without any earnings loss.
<added>This kind of thing usually coincides with an update to either AdSense or Adwords, so there is a chance a new feature for either will be launched shortly.</added>
Emailed google twice - no reply as yet.
If it is slow reporting, that's annoying but I can live with it, if they have not got the data for some reason that would not be good.
Any chance of a Google response?
I expect (hope) that within a few hours, the saturday figures will but put up to the usual amount, and then they can start working on the Sunday data...
As far as fraudulent clicks are concerned - if there is a strange pattern that they have found, it hasn't come from me....
I also have a bad feeling I caused some fraudulent clicks myself when I ran a link checker on my site but didn't tell it not to follow the google ads - is this likely to get me thrown off the program?
Today is Sunday, my sites Saturday's AdSense numbers have finally been posted by Google. My website logs show a typical Saturday's activity. My Google AdSense stats are obviously in error, they show 1/20th the number of impressions I would expect they should. As for click throughs shown, well let's just say it might be more appropriate to use the singular form of that term rather than the plural.
I did send email to Google yesterday around noon. I haven't heard back from them. I'm not mad at Google, I trust Google, I am appreciative of their AdSense program, but right now, right this second, AdSonar seems the better bet.
Out of frustration yesterday I re-entered my info into AdSonar's "we'll send you information later" form. Well today I had email from them waiting for me. I am now a participant in AdSonar and I've given their ads about 25% of the traffic I usually give Google. If AdSonar reporting looks good in a few hours I'll shift over more ad space.
I like Google, I even expect this problem with their reporting to resolve itself, and in a manner which is fair to me. But they have also shown me that I have to diversify. Google, thank you for causing me to re-investigate my opportunities with AdSonar.
