Google's June 27th search update or what ever it is.

Have your earnings been effected?

My site receives thousands of visitors daily from Google daily; however yesterday I was reduced to hundreds.

What this means in Adsense earnings is a least a 30% drop. A 30% drop still leaves me in good shape but I hope it does not last.

Has anyone else seen a drastic decrease in earnings because of the update? I am hoping the answer is yes so Google will reverse the change they made yesterday.

yes, i'm too affected. discussions are in google search forum. i dropped 95% of my search volume from google, used to get thousands of searches a day, now just a few an hour. this started last night.

check for this sign:
do a search for site: command on your domain and see if you have your homepage as a first result. if you don't see the homepage, you're probably affected by this too.

by tomorrow AM i'll know how much i'm going to lose daily, it looks like at least 50% less in revenues... and here i thought i'm on the verge of a four-digit month.

Too early for me to tell if we're having any traffic problems, but I want to point out that the first result generated by the site: command is your best linked page, not the necessarily the home page. Many content oriented sites that cover more than one topic have multiple sub-pages that are more popular that the homepage.

Google has been switching search results every couple of days for some time now. What I'm seeing now, it looks like a set I saw a week or two ago. In any case I doubt this will be permanent.

my main site has been hit too! Traffic over the last 48 hours has be cut in half compared to an average day of last week!

Most of my pages are still indexed in Google but I assume that a lot of my search keywords have died. Earnings are back 3 steps :-(

My site had been on the 2nd page of Google search results for my main keyword for about a month... now it has dropped out of sight. :(

Revenue spiked 100% (yes, that's right -doubled-). My adverts also were rather well focused as well.

i already joined the "27th update" club, and a decrease of nearly 80% in traffic and adsense earnings.

Terrible situation - What I see is nearly a 50% drop in traffic, as I was listed on the 1st page of the search results for several of my sites.

Now, all I get is garbage traffic from who knows where, and the CTR has dropped and the eCPM has dropped too.

I hope this is only a temporary problem, othewise I will be force to close down my sites by the end of this year.

I got hit by this in late January 2006, shortly after G started what is referred to as "Big Daddy".

Prior to that point in time G sent 46% of my traffic. In February G sent only 12% and I suffered terribly. Every month beginning in March 2006 G has sent between less than 4% up to a high of 5% of my traffic, and is currently at 5%. My main traffic sources shifted to MSN and Yahoo, with MSN having the current lead (47%). Income from AdSense has returned to the level of when G held the lead (46%), although I'm getting only 1/4 of the traffic that I used to get.

Life goes on.

I wrote to your post in the Google search forum. I've had a very similiar drop in traffic (60%), spread accross states and geo areas, making red widgets dissapear, and leaving blue widgets just fine.

Several data centers are showing "good" serps; that is, we could see everything back to the way it was a week ago. Let's hope this is what it appears: a temporary screwup during the latest data push.

Not sure what is going on. Monday and Tuesday have been higher than the rest of June (average for what May was), then Wednesday, June 28th, I'm at 50% earnings. I checked my keywords, I still rank number 1 for many of them, no change there.

Traffic is down today and the eCPM not as good as Mondays and Tuesdays.

Do we have hope this is just temporary?

dibbern2, I sure hope so. I'm tired of trying to figure out why only portions of my site remain untouched. At least my top performing states are still there.

Just be careful blaming the fluctuations we are all used to on updates, it has been like this for years and there are more explanations than I can count.

And yes, yesterday was my lowest day in all June.

I'm curious about something and this is likely to draw the ire of a lot of people here.... but, how many of those people who have seen their earnings slide to oblivion or losing their top-SERPS are /legitimate/ sites, as apposed to this change having turned the tables and sent those top-SERPS to sites really focused on such topics?

I only ask because ever since this recent change I've seen my own site finally hit top-spot after clearing past the previous MFA/unrelated crud.
