be it MFA sites or Amway or chain letters
if you want a reliable source of income build a site that has some value - earning revenue will come
and sure ive heard the stories of the "domainers" (actually read an article on them in business2.0) - buy a thousand domains - add adsense code - sit back and get rich - whatever - people win the lottery too
successful people do things well and then get rewarded - i suggest you try that route instead if you are considering creating a MFA -
sure it takes longer and is hard work, but thats the only way to truley enjoy success
besides MFAs are killing the internet
Food on the table? Not my concern. I am interested in the purity of the process. Purity is it's own reward.
I purchase soap by the case because I want to be as pure and clean on the outside as I am on the inside.
Ommmmmmm....
You can still build a quality site that is authoritative and beautiful, and it will still be authoritative and beautiful regardless of your Motivation.
Motivation doesn't have a thing to do with quality.

have you ever made website just for adsense?
should be rephrased to
have you ever made website just for money?
Of course I made website for money since my rice bowl depends on it. I quit my job to do this full time and of course I need money to operate my sites. I need money to pay for the server and domain names. If I made website just for fun, then I better use Geocities or free web hosts out there. And of course I made website not just for money. I love what I am doing and that is a plus.
I have build unique sites with lots of hand written articles, kept up to date with relevent information on particular niche subjects with the goal of making a profit using google adsense, amazon, and affiliate programs.
So whats the problem?
I have also written full, complete sentences making up coherent paragraphs which combining into articles in a navagate-able (word?) manor on a web site. These writings contain information on very specific subjects that people (hopefuly ) search for and read about. I wrote them SPECIFICALY to get traffic from search engines, so that people can find them and read them, and hopefully click on and ad, or order a link while they're doing so.
Whats the problem?
Again, I own a web site, that has products for sale, with the SOLE PURPOSE of selling them, shipping them, and making a profit.
Anyone that puts adsense ona site, and optimizes the pages including code structure, meta info, content, layout, design, colors, etc,... to see an increase in CTR or earnings is building a website for adsense (or other means of profit)
So whats the problem?
...
Whats the problem?
The problem is some people created web sites with totally no content except Adsense.
Probably that is what is meant by the thread starter. Read it again:
have you ever made website just for adsense?
'Website just for adsense' can be interpreted to mean that web site has no content whatsoever - just Adsense.
RFOL
:D
unfortunately, my english is so bad, so I didn't start to explain what I did and what I am planning to do. People usually ignore my threads, because they are difficult to understand. I should try now.
After I implemented code in few website which I made, I found out that the only way to improve CTR is to make the website after you choose where and how implement code. So I gave up with the old sites (which has arround 500 uniques/day with hardly 1% CTR and low CPC) and start the new site the way I mentioned. This site is not like standard MFA (scraped content and adsense code). It has a real content, updated daily, nice template and standard navigation links. This site changes my earning goes up 50x, and improving CTR 3-4%.
I have identified a niche and a need and am trying to fill that need with a website providing specific information required by a certain class of people.
As I will only provide free information , the surfer will have to buy the products through adSense. AdSense will 'complete' the experience.
More accurately, I am making a site that will cover an area of interest to me. If it weren't for AdSense, I would have just made it a directory on my personal site, and I would not have worried about filling out the content as much.
So yes, I am making that site just for adsense, but I made the content because it interests me. If it was not for adsense the site would not exist.
Thus, even the worst MFA site with machine-generated crud content, whose owner does nothing but pore over traffic and CTR reports has not made a website "just for AdSense". Like the guy who places advertising above the urinals in my local movie theatre, you may not have much, or very good, content, but you are obliged to consider the visitor, no matter what.
It's a trick question. Nobody with a rational mind makes a website "just for AdSense".
Ronburk, you've been around here long enough to know that many wannabe AdSense profiteers aren't rational. :-)
Wouldn't you know it, I keep getting these pesky people always bothering me for money, however: Landlord expecting rent, electric company expecting money, phone company expecting money, cable company expecting payment for TV viewing, even the grocery store expecting me to pay for milk and bread! What is the world coming to!
At least Google does not ask me for money. Well I thought I might do Google a favor and create some topical web sites for them - you know, so they could make some money with their advertising dollars. Gee, they started sending me checks too! Wasn't that nice of them? Larry and Serge are such nice fellows.
I've never made a site for Adsense, but I've made sites that I wouldn't have made were it NOT for Adsense.
Example: One of the young girls that used to write freelance travel articles for my main site went on to become the managing editor of a very hip New York fashion magazine. Because Adsense allows a site to be monitized that otherwise wouldn't be able to pay for itself, I now have a fashion site with first class content written by someone who is an expert.
So, "made for Adsense" is different from "made because of Adsense."
