Where can I build a site online that accepts AdSense? Tripod wont!

I just found out about AdSense, was all excited and sent application and they informed me that I can't use them because my site is on tripod :-(

I need to move my site, build another one or every day I'll just be gnashing my teeth, thinking about the $ I could be making.

Please tell me, Where can I build a site, ONLINE, since Im a programming dunce, that accepts AdSense ads?

You will usually need to pay for a host.

However, this may not be the answer to your problem, because your site may be unacceptable to Adsense in any case. Most sites hosted on Tripod are personal, and Adsense doesn't accept personal sites. There are also quite a number of other restrictions which you should be familiar with before you start.

Take a good look at your content, and satisfy yourself that it complies with their terms of service before you go out and invest in a new host. Otherwise your cash could not bring you the rewards you were hoping for.

best option is blogger! i use it. it's free, easy set up (no html needed, well maybe little) and is owned by google so you will get approved quickly. but put some posts before you apply

By "build online" you mean build through some automated user interface that creates the page?

And not the traditional create code (raw or with software help) and upload files proceedure.

gracedpoet, I told you to use blogger (free webspace in a way of blog that is owned by google) you have unlimited traffic and 300 MB to use... since on blogger you can put text, images etc... it will be more than enough....

that is the best option, in my opinnion, so don't understand what are you asking for more? you can automatically build online with no html etc. uploading... use it

Maybe this person is interested in hearing more than just your opinion, or maybe the original poster does not want to use a blog template for a website.
gracedpoet, you may find that your internet service provider offers free webspace for you to host a website. Usually they are ad free and therefore more likely to be accepted by adsense. One of the main problems adsense has with free hosting sites such as tripod is that tripod already displays ads on tripod user pages. One of the adsense rules is that you can not display adsense ads on a page that already has contextual advertising from another service other than google.
The cost of hosting is so cheap you should really consider getting your own domain name if your at all serious. Many hosting providers offer free online software you can use to build your site.

as turtlehurricane had said, freewebs is a good place to start. with their free hosting, they provide templates and also an html editor if you already know how. after getting the hang of things, you can then upgrade into a paying member for more features like php and register your own domain, also with them.

if you can pay for hosting, get one with fantastico panel and install wordpress or joomla or similar cms. it that case you can do everything online from say internet cafe or library no any other software is needed....

freewebs is a good idea if your paying for the hosting but if its a free hosting site they put google ads on it after x amount of days.

Im about a week away from my next sites launch which is a free webiste and photo gallery similar to freewebs which uses a WYSIWYG editor similar to that found in forums and blogs etc but the only reason it will be free is becuase I will have the adsence ads at the top of the page.

I will have to make sure that all the members using it will know that putting there own google adsense on the site is not allowed becuase im pretty sure google dont allow 2 different adsense accounts on the same page.

A blog service would be suitable for you. Try Google's own blogger.com
I guarantee AdSense is accepted! ;)

Not the case in my experience. Google accepts sites which meet their quality standards, independent on the actual content. For example, a blog on blogger.com is almost certain of being accepted while many of them are personal.

As the others have said, try Blogger.
But as soon as you made some cash, buy your own dotcom and have some decent hosting. It will only cost you very little money and the investment is well worth...

There are lots of different CMS systems out there that would work well with your own hosting. There are also website editors that don't require any HTML knowledge. If you want a reasonably good free one, check out NVU.

In reality, you will be much better off if you learn at least the basics of HTML. It really isn't very hard once you get your mind around it, and it is NOT programming. I'm sure a local community college or adult education will have some sort of course on it.
