Is the Web Design Field a low Cost Per Click Field?

My website is in the html help, web design field. I feel that I have done a good job with it considering it has only been online for about a month. I already get about 30 visitors per day. Isn't this good for a new web design help website. I know that this is a really competitive field.

I was just wondering though, do web design help websites have a low click price? Will I not make much with adSense? With the traffic that I have, do you think that I will be able to make a couple of dollars a month? I just want to at least pay for my hosting plan.

If you have any suggestions that would be great!

30 visitors a day is pretty low. I get 150 uniques/3500 PIs a day to my music forum, and I'm lucky if I get a click or two. It's 8:20pm and I've made $0.02, from site targetted ads.

The question should be "will people seeking advice on web design (and how to do it themselves) click on ads for paid services?" which, if you think about it, probably has a negative answer.

So you need to look at the adverts that are served and see if they fit the profile of your visitors. I suppose profiling your visitors is tricky given there aren't that many, if you have no decent facts from any analytics/logs then go by your gut feelings.

It could be that a few articles/case studies on things that may interest your visitors will make it easier for G to serve the correct ads on those pages.

Good luck

P.S. I hope it's a hobby site, as it seems you could easily make more than a few bucks for your time in so many other ways. If so, enjoy the challenge but don't expect to even cover modest costs, it probably will be that you can pay for the hosting though.

Thank you. Yes, its a hobby site. The good thing is that today I have recieved 100 unique visitors and about 30 recurring visits. I believe that this could be enough for covering my hosting costs. Thank you, and I think that my site can improve.

Keep trying. I've seen a page with 30 visits a day generate a dollar in revenue.

Your field is not a very good paying one (at least in my experience), but watch for viable off-shoots as themes. They might pay much better.

You'll see these possibilities over time, with luck.
