My site have 10k to 13k unique visitors a day. I have in all pages one halk sky block at the right and one 468 banner in at the bottom of the article. At the home page, i have a line of links. Side block CTR = 0,27%; Bottom banner = 0,69%; line of links = 0,12%. It's a humor site. It's giving me only US$ 20 a day. Is this normal? Should i get more? Any clue? Tks a lot.

it might be that your content is just not conducive to click through. If readers are doign just that, reading a story or joke, then they probably have little to no interest in clicking anything. Your very low CTR is evidence of that, and I'd bet your ads are probably not worth much either.

I had a humor/sports page and I couldn't squat for either on adsense. Finally I spun it off to YPN with my other low performing pages. They have a targeting category for sports so now I am doing ok.

With those numbers you should go to ValueClick and get all those funny CPM banners, like the spiders.

Who knows?

"Is this normal?"

That's like asking:

I have a 9-5 day time job, I work mo-fr, our office is in Dallas and my boss is called Leo.
I make $ 5000,- a month. Is this normal?

What I am trying to say is that there are so many
things that influence your Adsense income that it is very hard to compare your situation with someone else.

However, in many cases, humor sites don't make very much money with Adsense. And I think this indeed is not very spectacular. I also average US$ 20,- a day, but I have about 1% of your traffic.

Many humor and viral-type sites monetize traffic with cafepress t-shirt sales. If your site has value in that it's hip or groovy (or whatever it's called nowadays), then a cool logo shirt might be something someone may want to buy to show that they are hip, groovy, or whatever.

It's been said many times that humor sites don't earn squat in adsense earnings, so yeah, it can be said it may be normal.

Good luck.

My site is in Brazil, all written in portuguese, so i can't go to cafepress or something like it. The problem is when there's a joke about married, for exemple, google shows marry dresses and stuff like that. But my reader don't want to get marry. He wants to laugh. Is not a joke site, is something like "The Onion", with political humor and stuff like that.

Nah - I don't believe you are old enough to remember the good old days when "Hip" and "Groovy" were cool. :)

I am :(

"But my reader don't want to get marry. He wants to laugh."

And that indeed is a whole lotta difference!

And David,

"Feeling Groovy" is what Simon and Garfunkel did.
That says enough I guess.

One of my sites is a humor site too and my CTR is pathetic, as well as CPC. I'm still playing with it to see what can be done. Even tried some CJ ads, but so far, not a lot there either.

As said above, most people are there to read a joke from a link and then hit the back button out of there.
Try a pop under on their way out if you have decent traffic.
