Hello all

I was hoping for some help, before I email G about this.

Basically, I have a page, lets say called page.php

page.php supplies many different pages, in the form page.php?pageid=1,page.php?pageid=2,page.php?pageid=3......

For some reason, some of these pages NEVER get served ads, while most of them do.

pageid=6 is one of them. Instead of an ad, I get a white box, with a small grey X in the top right corner. And this ALWAYS happens on the same 5 or so pages in my site, and no others.

I dont understand what can be doing it, as the adcode is the same for each page, and ive tried disabling EVERYTHING on the affected pages, to make sure its not being effected by any other code. To the point I literally put JUST the adcode on the page, but it still refused to serve an ad to that page. It will serve it to page 7 fine, but not page 6, even if I make them both identical.

Does anyone else exeprience a similar issue, or it to do with google not liking php enabled pages? I really am lost as to what is causing this problem.

I've seen something similar, although in my case it was page.asp?id=1, id=2 etc. Some of them would only get PSAs, nothing else, others got the usual ad rotation. I assumed it had to do with the specific content of the page, possibly the title though, I never tried switching around the IDs and the content to see if that had any impact.

So, no solution but you're not alone in the phenomena.

I've had the effect you speak of caused by faulty html code surrounding the adsense code, so I'd check all of your code on the page.

If the you are seeing psa's then the code has been installed OK, and the page works. But for some reason Google has decided to show PSA's. That may be because it can't decide what ads to show, they don't have enough ads to show, or that there are stop words / phrases on the page.

It dosnt show a PSA, nor will it collapse, or default to a chosen colour.

No matter what I do, it always shows a white box, with a grey X

Sorry for use of imageshack, but I know its against the TOS to post my own URLs.

I have same problem that you mentioned. one of my pages does not get normal ads when I am viewing that page in my location, but it is a different situation in the other part of the world. I have confirmed it by asking one of my friends.

so more or less it depends on where you viewing the page.
