Some of the largest jumps in earnings for my site have occurred when I have made uncertain changes.
I wanted to improve our Adlinks performance. They're the 2nd biggest earner for us, but CTR is below average. Adlinks currently use the default color scheme
In several pages, I used gray - and CTR even plummeted
In several pages, I used red - and CTR increased
So red is for me.
Try it, give it a month of testing and then go with what works best
Two weeks ago I changed a letterboard From having a matched (blended)to page link title color (of blue) to a red. The page was doing pretty good before that, but after the change the CTR went up each day. It's now close to 30% higher than it was.
The box is still blended to the page (without borders) yet the red title somehow made the ads more appealing to visitors.
Maybe the change took away some of the "ad blindness" effect?
