Yahoo!Publisher as AdSense Alternate Ads?

Has anyone tried using Yahoo!Publisher as AdSense Alternate Ads? Is this allowed or possible?

Yes I have tried because I heard that ppl were making a lot more on YPN compared to AS

But the earnings were very bad. They were really bad for me. For instance - if I am making 20$ on AS, I was making 2$ on YPN. I tried for 2 weeks but nothing improved - so I came back to AS.

You cannot show both YPN and AS on the same page. But you can rotate them or you can show YPN ads for US visitors and AS for international.

Another limitation abt YPN is - if you have too much international traffic clicking on the ads - you will get BANNED :) - its only for US rite now.

I've had better results with YPN than AS. It depends on the site, tho. My sites with YPN use the ad targeting categories, so all ads are relevant. Some of my other sites I tried YPN on that did not have ad targeting and just got spidered for content took a long time (days) to display relevant ads.

I have a mix. AS on some sites, YPN on others, but for me, my revenue tripled on the sites now using YPN.

I and others in the YPN beta initially saw some above-Adsense earnings. Then things went south; in many cases way south. In my case, I removed YPN from my site several weeks ago and am 100% AS until the Next Best Thing comes along.

I think the question was, is it allowable for Yahoo ads to be displayed as an alternative to PSA's using the Alternative Ad Url feature in Google AdSense.

I would guess yes it's allowed, BUT I wouldn't do it on pages where you had multiple ad blocks; you could run into a situation where you had AS in one bloack and YPN as the alternate in another block.
