traffic booster products ans adsense

Hi Guys, Google Adsense just brought an advert up on my site for i-booster - one of these traffic boosting things. Is it illegal to use these in conjunction with adsense on your site? Are they any good? And no, I didn't click my own ad, I just noted down the address and opened a new window! Thanks. R

There had been some "I got banned" threads, where the use of traffic boosters was under suspicion to be the reason.

It's junk traffic.

To get quality traffic you can use AdWords or Overture.

Expect your CTR rating to plummet with this service since they are sending visitors to you with popups. I mean, what do you usually do with a popup? Myself, I instantly close it if it gets through my myriad of blockers.

With that being said, just make sure users that are being "boosted" to you land on a page with no adsense ads. If they navigate from that page, then they are navigating themselves and are much more likely to click an ad.
