Have you quit your job yet?

I did. In January.

I worked as a junior administrative assistant earning only $1,800/ month (minus taxes = few bucks short of $1,500). Who would work for this kind of miserable monthly sallary and tolerate two idiots in the office (one is supervisor and the other is the owner of the company)?

With Adsense, I am free, I have my life back. Being self-employed is great. I already made enough money with the Adsense to keep me from the office for a long time. To hell with working for somebody else, being your own boss is the best!

I hope this post serves as an inspiration to other friends on this board!

Still working the 'ol 9-to-5, and probably will be for a while.

Adsense earnings haven't allowed me to give up the fixed salary, but I hope to some day soon.

AdSense and affiliate marketing is my job.

I've never been employed.

Never been employed, and if things stay the way they are, I won't ever have to :)

For those of you who have quit your jobs, how old are you?

I'd wager that the majority of full time Adsense 'workers' are at least 35-40 and have had 'real' jobs before. If there only financial support is from their site/sites I'd guess that they have had them for at least 2 years before.

Then again it all depends on your standard of living doesn't it.

For those of you who have quit your jobs, how old are you?

Age semi-retired 40
I was 37 when I took up Adsense full time. I was in management earning $50,000 yearly.

My website is over 6 years old.

If you have a job then you can probably save/invest all your adsense money. After you pay uncle sam of course. Wait to quit until you have a nice cushion to sit on. Making money on the internet is a lot like investing in the stock market. There can be lots of ups and downs. The ultimate goal is to have the money working makng money.

I'm 36 and have never had a "real" job but I did have another business that I have kept going as a safety net in case my websites fail. After years of planning I just recently quit, I thought I would feel so free but I was actually very anxious at first.

I am getting more used to it now I think. I did a lot of work from home before - now it is all from home so I have to make plans to go outside at least every few days otherwise I would just sit here in my pajamas for days and never take a shower...
