7 Clicks: 9 Cents Total Earnings

1.3 cents per click. What is up with that?

On one particular channel I have - I see appallingly low earnings. I thought the lowest bid for an ad was 5 cents. So does this mean Google is pocketing 74% of the earnings?

Ironically, the rest of the site has has good eCPM...

The lowest bid for an ad can be $0.01, depending on keyword bidding.

Keywords have to have a high enough Quality Score to trigger ads on Google. If keywords aren't as targeted as they could be, ad rates may be at a minimun of $0.05 for that particular keyword.

You may want to search the Google Adwords forums for more information about bidding and such.

Either way, it's possible that you've had 5 or 6 ($0.01)-clicks and 2 or 3 ($0.02)-clicks.

Remove adsense from these channels and replace by affiliate links. It is the best way to let the adsense team know you are unhappy with them -0.01 clicks.

I once believed it might get better with time....wrong it only gets worse and it takes your entire account down. Things get better overall when you remove the low performing channels. This has been my expriance anyway...

7 clicks = 9 cents, hahaha.... o dude, you would earn more if you begged people for money on the street. No, honestly. haha... sorry, I am not laughing at you, I am laughing with you.

Ok. Here is what might be causing you to earn 9 cents with 7 clicks.

1. PSA ADS
2. Content of your website sucks (e.g. your website is about jokes, horoscopes, etc).
3. Somebody got offended by yout spamming and clicked on Google Feedback link just above your ads (or in some cases bellow your ads).

adsense cpm ads pay zero cents per click, so you could in theory have had one click worth nine cents, and all the rest were cpm-based clicks... although i kinda doubt it :-/

btw, i think that it's against the adsense tos to talk about your ctr on the 'net.
