I am in the process of adding adsense to my pages.

Is it OK to use the adsearch box on your own pages as long as you do not click on the paid adverts?

I don't really see the point in using your own searchbox...

If you use Firefox you have a search box in the top right at all times, likewise with IE7...

I just think its pointless, and playing with fire.

Unless you use the google INTERNAL SITE SEARCH(where it searches the content on your site). There would be no reason to ever use the google search box--period.

Don't do it. It is better to be safe than sorry.

Whether it's ok to do or not, you are increasing ad impressions which will lower your eCPM which may or may not affect smart pricing. Either way, it's better to not use it.
