Last year, I just viewed earnings from January 1st through December 31st and counted that as my earnings for 2004.
Just a friendly reminder to all that may go this route: The tax year for AdSense earnings is December through November (not Jan-Dec)... which results in payments of Jan-Dec. Also, viewing your daily reports will not include any adjustments made.
The end result could be a significant over or under-payment of your taxes depending on how much your earnings flucutated in Dec '04 & Dec '05.
Many will have experienced significant growth, and paying 2005 taxes on Dec '05 instead of Dec '04 could mean a significant overpayment. Top that off with going by what the 1099 states the following year, and you will have paid taxes on that month twice.
In summary, if you aren't going to use the 1099, go to My Account>Payment History, and count the payments made in 2005... forgetting about which month they were earned.
2005 taxable income from Google will be your December 2004 through November 2005 Google earnings.
I figure if you live near from where they were (or where they should have been) mailed from, you should have them by now.
Unless someone on here says "I got mine today", I've got to believe that Google didn't send them out on time.
I hope I'm wrong. The penalties are stiff.
If you did get yours already, would you tell the rest of us from where they were mailed?
Thanks.
Since I didn't get a 1099 last year, I just assumed that it would go until Dec 31, 2004 since my W2s do that, even though I didn't receive my last paycheck for 2004 until 2005 because they're a week behind.

The last day of February is the deadline to send all copies and summary reports to the government.
Added:
You have to have been paid a minimum of $600 in a "calendar" year to receive a 1099-misc. This is determined by payment date, not by when earned or received. If you have been paid $599.99 or less, you will not receive a 1099-misc.
Former full-charge bookkeeper here and happy to not be involved any longer in generating all these forms. :)

Is it okay for me to simply add up my total earnings from last year and use that figure?
I am eager to get my taxes done, and don't want to incur any fees for not doing so in a prompt manner.
