Google Gifts in India?

India is not a predominant Christian country. Although everyone celebrates Christmas buying gifts for everyone in the family is not wide spread - so I don't think India qualifies for the Christmas gift. Though we may get a Diwali gift once there are enough publishers.

Having been to India I'm not sure what the import issues would be as I was held at gunpoint every day to make sure I still had the same laptop I had the day before as I traversed the export zones, but I was assured they only hand warm and fuzzy bullets opposed to the usual mean metal variety.

I think the customs department officers take all the Google gifts, not Indian webmasters for whom they are sent

A few Adsense publishers in India have already received their XMas gifts from Google.

Did the recipients of the gift have to pay customs duty of US$30? Someone in the Adwords forum said he had to.

yes, have recd "gifts" from Google last year on Xmas and a card the year before. nothing to do with being Christian or not, its the Xmas spirit and Google isnt biased.

I need the full Google goody bag. There is nothing to with customs or christmas. If you make enough moolah you will surely get the gift.
