I remember early December last year people are reporting that they've received gifts from google. I wonder if they have plan to send us some toys this year.

What's the threshhold? How much do you have to earn to get on Google's Christmas list? And what countries qualify? (I assume they're the two factors that it depends on.)

That Google radio came in awfully handy when my home was powerless for 10 nights after Hurricane Wilma. It brought new meaning to the "God Bless Google" prayer when that seemingly insignificant cube would bring me news of the outside world and a steady flow of light (in red, green and blue).

I am a Google AdWords customer too so I don't know if I got it as a sponsor or a publisher. It was definitely a cool thought that I figured would dry up once Google went public and would be accountable for its expense line items.

Dont know if its an "amount" or the time you have been a google adsenser. But I have been for two years and 3k monthly. Interestingly not everyone gets the same thing?

Yeah, even when it's OFF! Every time I go to show it to someone (I have a "real" stereo I normally use for music) I have to pop new batteries in despite that it hasn't been used for a month...

Are the gifts for US publishers only , any non-us publisher got it?, and YES it is the gesture that matters not the gift even a Google Badge or a G T-shirt will make me happy, it makes us feel G' values their publishers :-)

I never had a problem with batteries in the radio, perhaps it is the light that eats them up. I typically use it in just radio mode. For a while I used it nightly for several hours and it was a month or two before I needed to change the bats.

Everyone else was talking about their cheesy radio, and I was flippin' the pages of my little tip guide.

My ideal google gift would be a big box that contains a large amount of used fivers. Alternatively some gadget that looks cool - it doesn't have to actually work, just look good!

Failing that, I'd be happy with the promise to publicly dump a few of the scammers as an example, and then work on cleaning up the crappy ads. But this may be happening already, so just dress it up in some festive tinsel and bung a few extra dollars into my account.
