Quoted:

A conversion for Firefox occurs when a user downloads Firefox through your button and runs it for the first time.

Two conversions for $1.1.

At 1 dollar per conversion it seems you have been snookered.

I just tested the banner I placed on my site for the Firefox referral (I'm in the UK). It doesn't look good.

It takes you to a page for downloading the Google Toolbar. It's the page for downloading the Firefox version, but the whole thing isn't a package.

There's a small link to go to the Firefox download page, then I presume you have to go back and download the toolbar, there's also a link to go and download IE.

I would imagine getting a conversion is quite difficult!

The payment is way too low. The fair comission should be at least $10 per conversion.
It is about INSTALLING a new browser, not about a single click.
Google should expect a lot of benefits from that user for a long time.

But, on the other hand: How to stop the cheaters?

Got one. Was sort of surprised.

And yes, the payment may be a little low... Apparently, Google can make about $50 per year from each new Google user in the highly-developed countries.

This month 44 click 3 conversion $0.30. our website average earn $0.15 per click. It means $0.30 can be earned by only two click. In this way I have lost 42 click. I am thinking about removing the firefox add.

Just $0.1 from Asia. I am a bit disappointed, but better than none.

I have the Firefox bottun on all my high traffic page not because I think it could make great money, but as an internet user, try to make a bit strategic help for Google.

I spent a few hours writing up an ASP script to deliver the Firefox banners in the respective language of the users browser on Friday.

Added it to a site with about 2500 uniques a day, so that everyone who's not using Firefox will get delivered the FF banner as opposed to a regular 728 Adsense Ad Unit..

I gave it all today (Monday) and pulled the plug. It was nice to see 3 or 4 installs for a dollar each on the weekend, but in the weekday it is killing me on earnings.. perhaps it's just my niche, but it seems like my visitors are definitely not in the mood to try a browser switch.

Nice effort though, Google. :)
