50 % Down in earnings today

Yep, I really don't take any notice of stats for the first 10-12 hours unless they look "normal".

Page Impressions seem to keep semi-reasonably up-to-date, but not always, but the rest of the stats are generally way behind...for my updates anyway!

My earnings have been up a little in the last day and a half. That doesn't mean anything, though; what counts is the long-term trend (e.g., the monthly average or--better yet--the monthly average compared to the same month in previous years).

today is better than yesterday, and yesterday better than day before. I see a jump starting friday, peaks on monday and then, drops on monday!

Everybodies eranings are not down! Mine are up by about 10 percent. At the moment they are 80 dollars instead of the usual 73 (give or take a couple) as I leave for the pub!

My earnings dropped as of november 8. For 5 long days my Adsense income was at about 50% of the usual numbers. And as of november 13, my earnings are way up again. Didn't make any changes to my sites, just sat down and watched tv. There is no real explanation for it, it doesn't have a meaning, it's just Adsense.
If you expect the same income everyday, you might want to consider sitting in a cubicle at an office floor with a hundred other folks doing useless stuff for some lame manager. Get a grip, just hold on and you'll be fine. And if not, take matters into your own hands and do some work on your sites or experiment with other programs. But never expect your online marketing income to be the same everyday.

But, usually the fluctuation will be only near to the monthly average, but to-day tooooooo bad. already 20 hours gone and still 50 % loss continues.

Unfortunately it is extremely common.. Even the most cutting edge US companies tend to have rows and rows of drones in cubicles... Such office environments are so incredibly inefficient I don't really know how the US economy doesn't collapse under its own weight. Millions of people spend 8 hours doing 30 minutes of work a day. It is insane when you see it over and over again.

It is theraputic to talk to others who are having the same difficulties with earnings, and it is theraputic for some to feel superior by saying relax it all evens out in the end.

But nobody really knows, they guess...

You see humans do this dumb thing called "making conversation." No real information is exchanged but everyone mistakenly thinks they learned or taught something, and that makes us feel better.

Now everyone is going to tell me how wrong I am--no need, it doesn't matter. Today was terrible for AdSense earnings.

kartiksh : i have not made any major changes to my site(s), i updated news daily and it's a daily process and there will be flucations in earnings near to the monthly average, but to-day is too low.

I agree with EFV - you simply can't take a day's figures as a trend. Adsense earnings, epc blah blah are up and down like a tart's knickers - you *have* to look at longer term trends. My earnings were down yesterday compared to this months earnings, but not compared to last months. But that's also normal for me heading towards the weekend. Saturday is usually my worst day.

Look at the long term trends - not just today's data.
