Money Making with AdSense

How hard would it be to make $30 a day?

Hi everyone. I am currently learning HTML, CSS, and about to learn some PHP. I have started on a site and was wondering, How hard is it to make $30 a day? I know alot of people on here make more then that but I am currently thinking about quitting my corporate desk job in the next 6 months or so and go back to school. The job I have right now pays well and I live in a very high priced area in California so it will be hard for me to go back to school and make enough money to live. If I made $30-50 a day with adsense and worked part time it would be a dream come true.

But just how hard is it?

My site was making $25 - $35 a day when it started, although it's a community site so I could report much on content.

Now I'm making at least $150 a day.

you're not allowed to post your personal link. In any case your site is too cluttered with adverts, a total turn off for me.

I started seriously pursuing this a little over a year ago, and am now averaging $25 a day, mostly from two hobby sites that are nearly two years old.

I had no intention of making money when I started, but when I discovered I could, it was like a bunch of lights went on.

I'm seeing a stalling effect now, though. I think I've tinkered and gotten backlinks about as far as I can go on those two sites. So I'm building more sites.

I find that Adsense is, for me, better than Yahoo, because it has more ad inventory. My largest site is on an obscure hobby that has quite a few related ads on G, but none on Y.

My advice on which one to use would be based on which one seems to have the best inventory in that topic.

I beleive that bringing up your URL's exposure (page rank) is still the way to go. You can sell banner space rent on your home page (or others) with which you can bring in consistent income. We now have one site on our home page after kicking Adsense off. We are still a new site (so we cannot charge much), but our page views are growing, and the amount of links (especially one way) pointing towards us is growing. On MSN we are doing very well.
As I said on an earlier post, I do not beleive Google Adsense is the way to go, as they cannot be trusted to pay for all click throughs from foreign isp's.

Use Chitika or YPN.

Adsense are having problems with their targeting and it will be 10x easier to earn $30 with a different company.

While chitika targetting is great because you have total control over it, in my experience Adsense targetting is about 5 kajillion times better than YPN.

I think telling someone to use YPN over Adsense for targetting is not good advice except for some segments where Yahoo! actually has ad inventory.

J., take everything that people say with a grain of salt. Don't take anything on faith, including what I'm about to tell you!

--be careful about buying an existing domain. You can buy a domain that has been banned by AdSense, not discover this until it's too late, and end up not only being unable to use AdSense on that domain, but being banned yourself for association with a previously banned site! But don't believe me, browse for the threads about this.

--although some have done better on Yahoo or Chitika than on AdSense, AdSense is probably better to try first, because compared to Yahoo the targeting is more accurate and there are more ads, and compared to Chitika it's less work to set up. Also, you've probably read posts complaining about "smart pricing" at AdSense. Chitika recently made some changes that amount to setting up a crude version of smart pricing, and Yahoo has admitted that something that sounds a LOT like smart pricing is coming in the future, though they won't call it that. Again, don't believe me, read the old threads.

Well... my story with adsense is kind of weird!

I installed adsense in the morning and I left! when I came back at midnight, I checked my earning... My site had been online for 3 days, which means it wasn't that popular... I expected to see maximum $2 in todays earnings and guess what! It was 82$ :) NOT A JOKE!

the sad story is that in about 3 months the income had been dropping in an abnormal way! from 82$ to 5$...
And I woke up one day and found out that google has disabled my account (invalid clicks... I didn't know from where those invalid clicks came from... probably from hell :( )! It was the worst day ever! I didn't even did well in my exams that day :P

Now I'm waiting for the Yahoo! publisher program... It's still beta as you know and I'm not in the US so I can't get the payments...

So sad... isn't it?

Use Chitika or YPN.

I have both and AdSense pays better.

Chitika you can use WITH AdSense which is good as I'd have to slash my wrists if it's low returns were the only things running on my web site.

oh man it's too hard haha,

im now 1 year 24 hours 7 day's a week behind my computer, i dont know what im doing but not earning money.

my highest a day was something arround 18$ , today im on 50%

anyway.. we are not stupid if you cant do it for yourself try to sell your knowlegde...... i dont know how haha

Wow, I didnt realize this thread came back alive.

Just to let you all know, I just put my first site live about a 1.5-2 weeks ago and put adsense on it today. (I almost had a heart attack since only a few hours after I put it on there I got a click, wooohooo, lol).

I also (thanks to all the people on this site with all their tips) am on the first page on msn for my keywords... already. It took them about a week to index me and I am still waiting for Y! and Google.

So I am on the road with all of you and hopefully I will soon have some storys to tell with you all :)

$1k to $2k per day should be your goal!

Search engines are great.....they actually tell you of the markets you should target. It is all about the markets!

My target is 2K per day from search engines (Adsense and the like), 4K per day from affiliate marketing, and 3K per day from client SEO.

I specialize in a seasonal market(Jan to Nov), so I fail to achieve these goals after Thanksgiving and before New Years (hence I waste my time on Webmaster & vacations
