They need to let publishers set a limit for minimum EPC, advertisers have it, why not publishers?
Last month I made four times what I made in Sept. 04, with only a little more traffic, through a combination of better CTR and a higher EPC.
Down isn't the only direction, in my experience. But maybe it depends on the type of site?
It's non-productive regardless of the type of site. Heh, adsense has been very good to me. And even as big of a shill as I am for Google, (my license plate says GOOGLE 1), even I get caught up in the Rome is burning process.... I finally said, enough, the last 3 days have been the most productive 3 days I have had in a longtime. Adding content without concern whether or not the adds would change from blue widgets to green because of an article.
Good Luck All.
I'm sure this isn't what you want to hear, but both sites are essentially unchanged over the past year. Yep, for the past 12 months I have earned the same CPC and CPM, within statistical variation.
Because the traffic is less targeted. Traffic alone if not really well targeted is completely useless
I got a few thousand per day extra on one site recently from a very popular blog site. That sites traffic trippled fof a week. Clicks improved only very slightly, epc fell very slightly, net income remained the same. As expected.
If your traffic is not looking to buy what your ads are selling then you are wasting your/googles/advertisers time.
I'll give them another four days to sort it out then thats it. 90% of my Adsense ads will be gone.
There really is something wrong. Either I'm waiting for a click dump thats not coming, or targeting has been off these past three days.
I have been seeing very, very bad targeting today. Ads that have absolutely nothing to do with any page of my site have been alternating with the targeted ads. There are times when both the adblocks and adlinks are about a topic that is totally unrelated, there are times when only the adlinks are off topic, and there are times when the adlinks and one adblock are off topic but a second adblock on the same page is correct.
It's totally weird. It's totally broken. And I have had enough of the experiment where they intentionally put 1-3 ads in a 4 ad adblock. It sucks.
