Odd problem with displaying ads

I just started putting content on a new site i'm working on and before it gets too cluttered I decided to test out where I would put my ads. I placed two blocks of ads, a 468x60 header up top and skyscraper to the right.

Problem is only one of them shows. If I put the skyscraper code before the 468x60 banner code then the skyscraper shows...

To test it out I put both the codes on a empty page and they both show just fine.

Any ideas? :/

I had exactly the same problem, the skyscraper displayed, the banner block was empty. If I took the skyscraper off, the banner had ads.

I put it down to there not being enough ad inventory for that particular niche, but would be interested to hear opinions from wiser folk than me :)

Sometimes when you display multiple ad units on a page, there is not sufficient ad inventory for your topic to fill all of the units. In this case, the second or third ad unit will not appear. For more information, see:

Ok, the skyscraper now displays on another page. A page I just added but not on the index page...hmm...

Aren't there any skyscraper PSA's?

I have found it can take up to 2-3 days to get ads showing in the second and third ad units. One of those weird quirks with AdSense...

ASA, but then why would the ads from BOTH blocks show on a completely empty page? And by completely I mean, not a word on the page other than the two ad blocks.
