Just asking - Is it just me?

Either I have lost a lost of traafic today or stats are stuck.

My CTR and eCPM are almost normal but page impressions ( and earnings ) are less than even one dollar by now.

Sobri,

Earlier today I had a major anti-reverse-negative-clickdump thing going on. I mean, $ 0.50 earnings at noon, that's up sh@t creek, even by my standard;-)
But all goes well now, I'm having the full 5 bucks here so I'm buying you folks a burger tonite!

H.

Weird stuff going one here too. I read in another post that the Adsense site was down yesterday in some places, and in others, lots of people had no ads showing.

For me today, my page impressions according to Adsense are way down, and $$ is too, but my logs show way more traffic(!?)

One of my sites had a terrible epc today. I went to some of the lowest preforming pages and with the Preview Tool I found over 10 MFA or MFY sites which I immediately blocked.

Another few sites just opened on to "fill out a form" page to get people's info.

Up until today blocking 2 sites a week was a big deal. Today I blocked 12.

This trend is really worrying because it will lead to the collapse of the system as we now know it.

It is essential for both AdWords & AdSense to start policing these sites better. They are exploding and many look like cookie cutters of each other.

All Google has to do is enforce their rules.

That is the bottom line: (when)will G enforce the rules/standards?

If it had not have been for some bean counter making the decision that only one site initially need be manually reviewed, we would all be better off today...and so would the Internet.

I agree. If surfers get convinced that the ads aren't worth clicking on they'll simply stop clicking. The number of misleading ads is growing enormously, at least on my site.

On top of that, it appears to me that the Adwords pricing changes in August have driven off a number of relevant advertizers. That just makes more room for the irrelecant and misleading ads.

The required relevancy level for an advertizer to get an ad approved at Adwords also seems to have been seriously lowered.

According to the Yahoo Search Blog, the Yahoo index was being updated so this is a potential reason that traffic could be down.

I am guessing my traffic from Yahoo is down by 30-40% today.
