Has anyone else set their payment type to EFT, only to find out later that it mysteriously switched back to check? All the proper bank routing information was submitted to Google in the "payment type" portion of the "my account" tab...the setting was even checked a few days later to confirm that it was still set to EFT. Now that payment has been approved, lo and behold, the "payment type" has switched back to "check." Apparently Google switched it back, either intentionally or through some kind of bug. Anyone else experience this recently?

i just switched from check to eft recently, and my eft failed. still not resolved - support is looking into it. but when i login, it is still showing that payments are to come by eft - so it didnt switch like yours.

Now that payment has been approved, lo and behold, the "payment type" has switched back to "check."

When did you switch to EFT? If you switched after the 15th it will take until the following month.

If you are selecting EFT as your payment type, we are unable to guarantee payment for the next payment cycle in this form if your selection was made after the 15th of the month. For example, to ensure payment by EFT for your March earnings, please complete the steps above before April 15th.

Hi spharalsia -

There are several reasons why this may have happened. The most likely is that, if you signed up for EFT during the beta period but were never actually paid or were not paid successfully, your account was automatically switched to local currency checks. If this is the case, you'll need to sign up again.

The reason for this is that now EFT is out of beta, under the new process we can verify your bank account information to ensure your payment can be sent successfully into your account.

If this does not seem to describe your situation, please feel free to sticky mail me with your login so I can do some more research on your individual case.

Thanks, ASA, that does describe the problem. Good to know it's a one-off glitch. Thanks again for all you do!
