Problems with earnings.

I seem to have some problems with my earnings.
Some days i get impressions, and clicks and it finilizes $0.00 earnings. Other days, i do get earnings, but it doesnt count the clicks i get. For example i had just slightly over 1000 impressions and a lot of clicks. The final earnings were a few cents higher than the eCPM, this means the clicks did not count.

Any thoughts?

Apparently Google is devaluing the clicks if they are coming from the same IP# or they may be coming from your IP number which could get you banned. I would check my logs and see where the majority of visitors are coming from and check what they are clicking on and how often.

I think you're confused about something. If you have 1,000 impressions, then your earnings will be the same as your eCPM by definition.

The eCPM column isn't showing you true CPM earnings; it's just a calculated figure: earnings divided by impressions, times 1,000.

Oh i see, so the clicks are included.

I might have clicked on my own adds once or twice because i was interested in them, but other than that i did not click on them. Right now i have almost 500 impressions 10+ clicks and no earnings.

How would i go about checking my logs, i looked around and couldnt find it.

I don't believe I would be clicking my own ads, intersted or not.

Go get the adsense preview tool from Google and click to your hearts content....othewise we may be getting treated to another you are banned thread.:)

Well, it was only a one time thing, so im sure theres no worries there. You said something about logs, how do i check them? Looking at who clicked on my ads woudl be really nice.

your web host should be providing you access to your log files, check with him where they are located for your account.

A little update: I did not get any earnings yesterday with over 500 impressions and over 10 clicks.

When i just started with AdSense i was earning and everything was fine, and now...

No big deal eh? Tell that to the advertiser - and then to Google in your rebuttle to the "Your account has been suspended" e-mail.

I'm not trying to be an ass - but you must understand the seriousness of this issue. It is not to be taken lightly. One, or two clicks - is still theft.

obviously not, in fact the companies involved will be pleased seeing as they are using your webspace for free and you receive nothing.

We as webmasters *should* all know how to see where the ad would take us prior to clicking on it.

Use this knowledge. There is no reason to click on your ad. If you're interested in the PSA, there are other ways to get to the (eg united way) than clicking on the ad.

Even if Google doesn't care - what is the point of clicking on it when you can just type in the URL and rule out all negative impacts of clicking on the ad.

Last time I have a newly created website visited by one visitor only and this guy click 5 ads or same ads 5 times. My Adsese reported 1 impression and 5 clicks but Zeor(0) earning!

I guess not only Google won't pay you for clicking your own ads but they won't pay you for anyone who clicking your Adsense ads abnormally as well.
