Hello,
As the title says I started a new website for a new company and currently only the home page has been indexed and no other page has been discovered. The sitemap shows 22 discovered pages as there are 22 pages.
How long does it normally take for the other pages to start indexing? Should I keep adding more content or wait till more start getting indexed?
Not long ago, a new site would be likely to be indexed quickly, sometimes as soon as it was submitted. Today things may lag for days or weeks. Possibly in a week. Could be a month. Some pages are never indexed.
If the home page is indexed and has sufficient navigation to deeper pages, it may not matter whether everything is indexed right away. Look through your server logs to see how visitors use your navigation.

Welcome!
Indexing takes as long as it takes ... not much you can do to hurry things along for serp penetration. However, do not forget the main purpose: creating new engaging and compelling unique content that will draw attention down the line. "Build it and they will come" is a real thing. :)
Meanwhile, if the site is ONLY 22 pages and will never get any larger or fresher (new/updates) then "It is what it is" is the other side of the adage.
That said, active sites with new content, especially fresh and intriguing, will get you noticed much sooner. While this is the g search and seo forum, don't forget to check how your site is doing in other search engines (Bing, DuckDuckGo, etc.) as that can also help reveal how the web at large is viewing your site.
EDIT: Got a bit sidetracked and failed to mention the obvious: Indexing is necessary, but is NOT a guarantee of RANKING. Been at this a few decades and still can't figure out why SOME pages RANK and others can't be found!

You can speed up the process of Google discovering and ranking your site by building up backlinks and traffic to your site. You want to make Google think your site is popular. When I launch a new site, I promote it using my other sites, email newsletter lists, social accounts, press releases, etc. It usually takes several weeks/months. Results can vary wildly depending on available resources and competition levels.

Thanks for the welcome and thanks for the advice. I will continue publishing content then and see where I can get it to go.

Try doing direct searches for the exact URLs of some of the non-indexed subpages and see what google's search results show. For instance, do a google search for "https://example.com/Page 2.html" (without quotes). Even if the results don't show this page, it at least tells google that there might be such a page and that someone is looking for it.
