Yesterday the president announced that Google is quickly developing a website for screening coronavirus cases. Not to get into any political issues, but is this true and if so, where would we find such a site?
In what is a typical situation, non web technical people, like the president himself, greatly misunderstand the development and deployment process and even my clients often mis-state what they have or can offer with web assets. One even thinking that his Facebook page is his own personal property and he can sue anyone who posts anything negative there. Even Techcrunch makes a contradictory claim that "Google is NOT developing a screening site....and IT is not ready yet"...huh?

Here is an article I found that claims the press release was inaccurate...even though their own heading is technically inaccurate: [techcrunch.com...]

Let try to cut through the confusion here without political digs...OK?

Multiple media sources are reporting Google is NOT doing this.

For up to date coronavirus information please visit CDC [cdc.gov] & WHO [who.int].
