I hadn't noticed it until now, but Google's home page now has an "About" link, and a "Store" link, which lead to pages about organising the Worl'd information, and, you guessed it, a store where you can buy google products.

When did this start to appear?

Really! It's the first time i've seen it, top left.

I wonder if this is extending a roll out.

i don't remember seeing it before but i am rarely on the home page.

on the mobile interface (chrome/tablet) it doesn't show a link to Store and the About link is in the footer.

Good point. The omnibox has made it largely obsolete.

The Store is only available in a few countries, I don't see the link. I feel like the "About" link has been there for a long time, but for me it's in the bottom left corner, with "Advertising" and "Business".

Putting it top left it's very visible. If it was at the bottom I doubt I would have seen it.
