Google's Android and iOS app now has an algorithmic news feed which shows more of your interests the more it's used. The AI comes into play to learn more about your patterns, and to deliver more of those results.

That should be interesting, especially when a user might be looking for one thing, and then' later, have no interest and be swamped by the AI's actions.

The SERPs get a makeover, too.
To help you keep up with exactly what you care about, you’ll now be able to follow topics, right from Search results. Look out for a new “Follow” button next to certain types of search results—including movies, sports teams, your favorite bands or music artists, famous people, and more. A quick tap of the the follow button and you’ll start getting updates and stories about that topic in your feed.

It's rolling out in the U.S. today, and globally in the next few weeks.

Clearly, unless you've been under a rock for the last few years, it's all about mobile.

There could be an opportunity for a search term in the SERPs to result in more newsfeed coverage. I'm going to have to look into that more as it rolls out.

MayankParmar - Yes Google News, but not the Search App.

I tried Bing as my default search for mobile & desktop for 6 months. When I switched back to Google, the one thing I missed was the top headline news that Bing put under the search box. Google didn't have this.

MayankParmar, this is the search app, not desktop.

I haven't yet got that update here, so if someone else has tried it, let us know.

I am curious to see how it works. If somebody from Europe has got that update, please share your experience.
