Google constantly seems to go through a period of disarray, when it comes to WMT and and their "site:" tool.
This weekend, the # of pages on my site, based on the "site:" tool dropped a precipitous 15 %. Additionally, I noticed that errors have re-appeared in WMT "short description" warnings, that I had fixed months ago. When I looked up those effected pages in Google's index, my meta description is not appearing as the caption associated with my link that displays in the SERPs. Instead, I'm getting the first 2 lines of my page text appearing.
This leads me to believe that Google has done some form of rollback, and the tools (and their associated database that they use for displaying their tools) is out of whack.
Are others seeing this phenomenon ? Maybe Google should apply for some of that bailout money to hire people to fix these problems...........

I checked my webmastertools Internal and External Links every couple of days and record what changes there are, but this morning when I logged in the report I get back is - No links found, has anyone else seen this today?
Is this a glitch, should I be worried?
I have tried to have a look about the web to see if anyone else is having this problem, but can't find anything.
Any words of wisdom?

Yes I saw this today too ... traffic doesn't seem to be affected so I assume it is a glitch at this point and not to be concerned.
