I think this sums up the merits and seriousness of this case:

Alphabet shares ended 0.2% lower at $1,757.19 on Wednesday. Facebook shares, which briefly turned negative after details of the Texas lawsuit were published, reversed losses and ended little changed

i.e: its a farce.

This alleged collusion, if proved true, doesn't look good for those involved.

2021, particularly in USA, will probably see more of the same (inquiries and investigations/lawsuits) as all parties in the national (and international) echelons of government have seen EXACTLY what concerted efforts by big tech to manipulate public opinion has accomplished. What takes down one side can also take down the other side, at any time, on a whim, or by an agenda different from national priorities. Not tin-foil, just a wake up call. Whether it will be heeded and acted upon will be a result of these various lawsuits (and more are coming) over the next few years.
